ERC1602FYG-4 is 16 characters wide,2 row cog(chip on glass,no board) character lcd module,compact size,metal pin connection,ST7032i controller,i2c+4-wire serial interface,single led backlight with yellow green color included can be dimmed easily with a resistor or PWM,fstn-lcd positive,black text on the yellow green color,high contrast,wide operating temperature range,wide view angle,rohs compliant,built in character set supports English/Japanese text,see the ST7032i datasheet for the full character set.
It's easily controlled by MCU such as 8051,PIC,AVR,ARDUINO,ARM and Raspberry Pi.It can be used in any embedded systems,industrial device,security,medical and hand-held equipment.

Hello, can I use this LCD to replace aqm1602-nlw without changing the LCD program? Is the only difference between these 2 LCDs only in the number and type of pins and the size of the LCD? And are they compatible?

Dear Vahid,
We confirmed that our ERC1602-4 is not compatible with AVG1602-nlw after viewing the datasheet for them, there are some differences on hardware and software as well. For hardware, the obvious difference listed on mechnical drawing. For software, the setting for LCD contrast would be different even though they're using the same one controller IC. Pls note it.
