Reason: The controller IC EK79030AC7 used on ER-TFT0784-1 is discontinued,so we change to new controller IC OTA7290B used on ER-TFT0784-2.
Impact: ER-TFT0784-1 is the same with ER-TFT0784-2 in mechanical dimension and electrical spec except the controller IC.As old customer,you only need to upate your initialization code we prepared in this page.
Description
ER-TFT0784-2 is 1280x400 dots 7.84" IPS tft lcd display with driver OTA7290B,MIPI interface.It's optional capacitive touch panel with controller,connector,superior display quality,full view angle.Easily controlled by MCU such as 8051, PIC, AVR, ARDUINO, ARM.Portrait mode (400x1280 pixels) and landscape mode ( 1280x400 pixels) are all available.
It can be used in any embedded systems,car moniter,mp4,gps,industrial device,security and hand-held equipment which requires display in high quality and colorful image.
The LED backlight driver IC we suggest to use for this display is PT4110.

HI, I would like to use this panel with Raspberry Compute Module 3+. Do you have the MIPI initialization code? Can you support with creating LINUX driver for the display?

We don't have the LINUX driver for this display.You have to find an engineer to help you.
And this display cannot be used on Raspberry Pi,If you want to use ti on a Raspberry pls buy our ER-TFTM0784-1 this one from the link below.Any questions pls write us by <[email protected]>.Thanks!!

Hi, whats the best way to interact with this display on raspberry pi? is there a 40pin driverboard that works with that display and resolution? Thanks

Hi,
ER-TFT0784-1 is MIPI interface, It can not be connected to Raspberry Pi board directly.
You may consider to use ER-TFT0784-1 display with RA8876 controller board (our P/N ER-TFTM0784-1) which support MCU interfaces, You could use I/O pins from Raspberry Pi board to communicate with 7.84" tft display, The problem is you need to develop hardware and software on your own, We don't have reference design so far.

You don't need to select the SPI communication mode.Because this display can only support RGB + 9bit SPI (Rise Mode),you could find the answer at the page 37th of the Controller ST7701S Datasheet.Thanks~
